The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. robotvacuummops.uk of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and efficiently. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean and is also fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. rugs.
This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect some of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots have struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was in the process of finishing its work.
Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
